What is a double drum road roller?
The double-steel-wheel roller has two rollers at the front and rear. Some models support synchronous vibration of the two rollers, which results in better compaction efficiency and uniformity. It is the core equipment for compacting asphalt pavement. The vibration mode is flexible and can be switched according to the types of materials such as soil, sand and gravel, and is suitable for each stage of initial compaction, re-compaction and final compaction.

What is the function of a road roller?
The core function of a road roller is to compact road-building materials such as soil, sand, gravel and asphalt mixture through its own weight or vibratory impact force. This improves the compactness, flatness and stability of the compacted materials, reduces their porosity, enhances load-bearing and anti-deformation capacity, and ensures the construction quality and service life of roads, foundations, dykes and other engineering projects.

1.Power system
The ST6000 vibratory roller is equipped with a high-performance 4-cylinder inline water-cooled four-stroke diesel engine. To meet the brand preferences and operational needs of different users, three well-known brand engines are available for selection:
Changchai 4G33TC: With an output power of 68kW and a rated speed of 2400rpm, it is powerful and can easily handle heavy-duty compaction operations.
Yanmar 4TNV98: With an output power of 56.5kW and a rated speed of 2200rpm, it combines stable performance with fuel economy.
Kubota V3307: With an output power of 55.4kW and a rated speed of 2200rpm, it is powerful and has low operating noise.
The equipment is equipped with a 12V electrical system, which is stable to start and reliable in operation. The engine's water-cooling design can effectively control the working temperature, ensuring service life even during long-term continuous operations and reducing the occurrence of faults.

2.Drive & Control System
The equipment adopts a variable plunger pump stepless speed control drive method. The walking speed can be smoothly adjusted within the range of 0 - 7.5 km/h, which can flexibly adapt to the different differential requirements of different construction scenarios for the compaction speed, and has higher operational efficiency.
Steering system: It adopts a hydraulic steering swing articulated design, which is easy to operate and flexible. The external turning radius of the equipment is 5140mm, and the internal turning radius is 3300mm. It can easily complete steering and operation in narrow areas, and is suitable for complex construction environments.
Excitation system is driven by a hydraulic motor. It supports two vibration wheel modes: front wheel/ rear wheel and front wheel + rear wheel. The vibration frequency is fixed at 40Hz, and the vibration amplitude can be switched between 0.55mm and 1.1mm. The excitation force corresponds to 40kN and 75kN. It can precisely adjust the compaction parameters according to different compacted materials such as soil and asphalt mixture to ensure the compaction effect.



The equipment is equipped with a dual-control pressure intermittent watering system. The watering interval can be flexibly adjusted, effectively preventing the materials from adhering to the steel wheels. The 300L large-capacity water tank can ensure long-term continuous operation and reduce the inconvenience of frequent water replenishment.

3.Size
Weight: The operating weight is 6000kg, and the static load is 198N/cm. It can provide sufficient pressure strength to ensure the compactness of various foundation compaction.
Size: The equipment size has been optimized for both operational efficiency and mobility: the working width is 1700mm,the total length is 3650mm,and the total height can be adjusted between 1970mm and 2935mm.This facilitates transportation and storage,and reduces transportation costs.
Theoretical climbing ability: The wheelbase is 2650mm, which enhances the stability of the equipment's movement,especially suitable for slope operations.Its theoretical climbing ability can reach 35%, enabling it to easily handle various slope construction sites.
The capacity of the steel wheel lubricating oil is 8L×2,the hydraulic oil capacity is 94L, and the fuel capacity is 105L.This significantly reduces the frequency of frequent refueling and lubrication,avoids operation interruptions,and ensures the construction progress. 
The width of the steel wheels is 1500mm and the diameter is 1000mm. With a wide coverage range for each operation,it can effectively enhance the construction efficiency.

·  During the operation of the equipment, do not perform cleaning or maintenance work. Rotating parts may cause personal injury.
·  It is strictly prohibited to clean parts with gasoline, other fuels or flammable solvents, especially in enclosed areas; the fumes volatilized from fuels and solvents are prone to accumulation, which may cause explosions.
·  Regularly check the external buttons of the equipment to ensure their normal functions.
·  Provide professional operation and safety training to equipment operators on a regular basis.
·  Do not operate the equipment in areas with flammable substances, fuel or flammable vapors.
·  After the equipment is out of service, turn off the engine immediately, store it in a clean, dry area out of the reach of children, and ensure standardized storage.
·  Do not remove the air filter cover, paper filter element and pre-cleaner while the engine is running.
·  Before hoisting, jacking up the equipment or performing maintenance work, be sure to fasten the articulated steering connection in place with a locking rod.
