What is a double drum road roller?
The double-steel-wheel roller has two rollers at the front and rear. Some models support synchronous vibration of the two rollers, which results in better compaction efficiency and uniformity. It is the core equipment for compacting asphalt pavement. The vibration mode is flexible and can be switched according to the types of materials such as soil, sand and gravel, and is suitable for each stage of initial compaction, re-compaction and final compaction.

What is the function of a road roller?
The core function of a road roller is to compact road-building materials such as soil, sand, gravel and asphalt mixture through its own weight or vibratory impact force. This improves the compactness, flatness and stability of the compacted materials, reduces their porosity, enhances load-bearing and anti-deformation capacity, and ensures the construction quality and service life of roads, foundations, dykes and other engineering projects.

1.Power system
Two high-performance engines are available for selection, catering to different working conditions: 
HONDA Power: Equipped with the GX390 gasoline four-stroke single-cylinder engine, with an output power of up to 9.7KW and a rated speed of 3600rpm, suitable for continuous operation scenarios with high power requirements; 
CHANGFA/CHANGCHAI Power: Equipped with the 186F diesel four-stroke single-cylinder engine, with an output power of 6KW and a rated speed of 3600rpm, featuring economical fuel consumption and sufficient torque, suitable for long-term outdoor construction. 
Both are equipped with a 12V electrical system, which is stable and easy to maintain. They are also paired with a 15L hydraulic fuel tank, a 6.5L fuel tank, and a 70L water tank, an intermittent spray anti-sticking cylinder, strong endurance, reducing the time for frequent refueling, and improving construction efficiency.

2.Drive & Control System
he system adopts a variable plunger pump for stepless speed control with two wheels connected in series. The speed adjustment range is 0-6 km/h, allowing for precise control of the driving speed according to construction requirements. The theoretical climbing ability reaches 30%, enabling stable progress even on steep slopes, and it is suitable for complex terrains.
The hydraulic steering is combined with a swing-hinged steering system, providing precise and flexible steering, significantly reducing the labor intensity of the operators, and allowing for easy turns even in narrow spaces.​



The front wheel vibration drum (with a frequency of 70Hz, an amplitude of 0.5mm and an excitation force of 25KN) can quickly and efficiently compact various materials such as soil, sand, and asphalt. The compaction degree fully meets the engineering standards.



3.Size
The equipment has been optimally designed to balance the coverage area and maneuverability:
Operating weight: 1100kg; Static linear load: 56-77N/cm; The compressive strength is sufficient and uniform; Working width: 825mm; Combined with a 700mm-wide and 500mm-diameter vibrating drum, the total length is 1780-1870mm, the total height is 1450-1985mm, the turning radius is 2600mm. It is small, flexible, and can easily handle complex construction environments.

·  During the operation of the equipment, do not perform cleaning or maintenance work. Rotating parts may cause personal injury.
·  It is strictly prohibited to clean parts with gasoline, other fuels or flammable solvents, especially in enclosed areas; the fumes volatilized from fuels and solvents are prone to accumulation, which may cause explosions.
·  Regularly check the external buttons of the equipment to ensure their normal functions.
·  Provide professional operation and safety training to equipment operators on a regular basis.
·  Do not operate the equipment in areas with flammable substances, fuel or flammable vapors.
·  After the equipment is out of service, turn off the engine immediately, store it in a clean, dry area out of the reach of children, and ensure standardized storage.
·  Do not remove the air filter cover, paper filter element and pre-cleaner while the engine is running.
·  Before hoisting, jacking up the equipment or performing maintenance work, be sure to fasten the articulated steering connection in place with a locking rod.
