What is a double drum road roller?
The double-steel-wheel roller has two rollers at the front and rear. Some models support synchronous vibration of the two rollers, which results in better compaction efficiency and uniformity. It is the core equipment for compacting asphalt pavement. The vibration mode is flexible and can be switched according to the types of materials such as soil, sand and gravel, and is suitable for each stage of initial compaction, re-compaction and final compaction.

What is the function of a road roller?
The core function of a road roller is to compact road-building materials such as soil, sand, gravel and asphalt mixture through its own weight or vibratory impact force. This improves the compactness, flatness and stability of the compacted materials, reduces their porosity, enhances load-bearing and anti-deformation capacity, and ensures the construction quality and service life of roads, foundations, dykes and other engineering projects.

1.Power system
The ST1200 road roller is available in both diesel and gasoline versions, catering to different working scenarios and energy supply requirements. The power output is stable and powerful:
The diesel version is equipped with the Changchai 192F four-stroke single-cylinder diesel engine, with an output power of up to 8.1kW; the gasoline version is fitted with the Honda GX390 four-stroke single-cylinder gasoline engine, providing abundant power with an output power of up to 9.7kW.
The 12V stable voltage design ensures smooth startup and meets the power supply requirements of complex construction environments; the 5.5L large-capacity fuel tank effectively extends the continuous operation time and reduces the hassle of frequent refueling; the hydraulic oil capacity is 22L, ensuring the efficient and stable operation of the hydraulic system and avoiding the impact on the work progress due to insufficient oil.

2.Drive & Control System
The equipment adopts a variable plunger pump stepless speed control two-wheel drive mode, combined with a hydraulic steering system and a swing hinge-joined steering structure. The outer turning radius is only 2800mm, with no steering blind spots, significantly enhancing operational flexibility.
The walking speed can be adjusted steplessly within the range of 0-6 km/h. It can flexibly adjust the operation rhythm according to the compaction requirements. The theoretical climbing ability reaches 30%, enabling it to handle construction sites with slopes with ease.



The system adopts a front-mounted vibrating drum, driven by a hydraulic motor. The vibration frequency reaches 65Hz, the vibration amplitude is 0.5mm, and the excitation force can reach 30kN. It can efficiently complete the compaction operation of loose materials such as soil and sand, with uniform compaction density and effectively enhance the ground bearing capacity.
In addition, it is equipped with an intermittent pressure spray watering system. The 70L large-capacity water tank can meet the dust reduction and drum lubrication requirements during long-term operations, avoiding the problem of material sticking to the drum which may affect the compaction effect.



3.Size
The operating weight of ST1200 is 1185kg. The static linear loads are 69.5n/cm and 68n/cm respectively. It has strong compaction stability and can ensure that the equipment does not shift or shake during the compaction process.
The working width reaches 930mm. Combined with a 800mm-wide and 560mm-diameter vibrating drum, the single compaction area is large, which can significantly shorten the construction period. The overall length of the equipment is 1980/1940mm, the overall height is 1540/2125mm, the wheelbase is 1356mm. The structure is compact, making it convenient for transportation and storage.

·  During the operation of the equipment, do not perform cleaning or maintenance work. Rotating parts may cause personal injury.
·  It is strictly prohibited to clean parts with gasoline, other fuels or flammable solvents, especially in enclosed areas; the fumes volatilized from fuels and solvents are prone to accumulation, which may cause explosions.
·  Regularly check the external buttons of the equipment to ensure their normal functions.
·  Provide professional operation and safety training to equipment operators on a regular basis.
·  Do not operate the equipment in areas with flammable substances, fuel or flammable vapors.
·  After the equipment is out of service, turn off the engine immediately, store it in a clean, dry area out of the reach of children, and ensure standardized storage.
·  Do not remove the air filter cover, paper filter element and pre-cleaner while the engine is running.
