What is a small excavator?
Small excavators are compact earthmoving machinery, also known as mini or small excavators. Their core features include tailless rotation and rubber tracks. The body is narrow, the turning radius is small, and the transportation is convenient. They cause less ground damage and can be equipped with various attachments to perform multiple operations such as excavation, crushing, and loading. They are suitable for narrow areas that large equipment cannot access.

Compact Design for Flexible Operation:Features a small tail swing radius of only 1000-1125mm and a minimum ground clearance of 210mm, allowing it to maneuver easily in confined spaces like indoors, tunnels, and alleys, with comprehensive working range coverage.
Versatile Applications:The standard bucket capacity is 0.06m³, and the machine supports various functions including digging, crushing, and leveling. It is widely suitable for municipal engineering, landscaping, rural construction, and indoor renovation projects.
Precise Hydraulic System:The hydraulic system offers precise control, providing a bucket digging force of 14 KN and an arm digging force of 10 KN, with a swing speed of 10-12 rpm. This combination of power and control makes it easy to operate, even for beginners.

1.Power system
PC18.3 is equipped with the LAIDONG 3TE25 three-cylinder engine, meeting the EURO 5 emission standards. It has a maximum power of 18.4 kw and operates at a speed of 2350 rpm. It has abundant power reserves and can efficiently handle heavy-duty excavation operations.
PC18.3D uses the KUBOTA D1105 three-cylinder engine, meeting both the EPA4 and EURO 5 emission standards. It has an output power of 14 kw (19 HP) and operates at a speed of 2200 rpm. It strikes a balance between environmental protection and practicality.
Hydraulic system: The working pressure of PC18.3 reaches 18 Mpa, while that of PC18.3D is 16 Mpa. Both are equipped with 14 KN bucket + 10 KN boom digging force, and both are equipped with 14 KN bucket + 10 KN boom digging force. The 10-12 rpm rotation speed enables more flexible operation switching.

2.Drive & Control System
The whole machine adopts a crawler drive system. Both models have a maximum travel speed of 2.5km/h, equipped with 230mm-wide rubber and steel track shoes. With a large ground contact area and strong grip, they run steadily on complex terrain and effectively protect the ground. The track gauge is 820mm, the ground contact track length is 1230mm, the minimum ground clearance is 210mm, and the maximum climbing capacity is 35°, enabling easy passage through steep sites.



The arm swings at angles of 75° and 45° respectively. The radius of the rotating tail is as small as only 1000mm. It can flexibly adjust the working posture in a narrow space, thereby improving the working efficiency. The maximum lifting height of the bulldozer blade is 230mm and the maximum cutting depth is 275mm. It can simultaneously complete excavation and site leveling operations, and its functionality is very practical.



3.Size
The two models are compact in size and suitable for operations in narrow areas:
The overall dimensions are 3655mm × 1050mm × 2232mm, with a weight ranging from 1800kg to 1900kg. They perform well in terms of operation range, with the standard bucket capacity being 0.06m³ each, the maximum digging height being approximately 3391mm, the maximum digging depth reaching about 2125mm, the maximum digging radius exceeding 3.8 meters, and the minimum turning radius being only around 1701mm. They can meet various operation requirements such as small-scale digging, loading, and unloading.
