What is a walk behind road roller?
The hand-held road roller is a small, portable compaction machinery that is operated by the operator manually. It has a compact structure and is flexible to operate, suitable for narrow sites and small-scale compaction tasks. It comes in single/double wheel, static/vibrating, fuel/electric models. It is mainly used for municipal repairs, trench backfilling, rural roads/footpaths, and soil, sand, asphalt and other materials compaction at the corners of large roads.

What is the function of a road roller?
The core function of a road roller is to compact road-building materials such as soil, sand, gravel and asphalt mixture through its own weight or vibratory impact force. This improves the compactness, flatness and stability of the compacted materials, reduces their porosity, enhances load-bearing and anti-deformation capacity, and ensures the construction quality and service life of roads, foundations, dykes and other engineering projects.

1.Power system
The SVH700 is equipped with a single-cylinder four-stroke engine, which is powerful and stable in operation, and is suitable for long-term continuous work. 
The SVH700 is equipped with a Honda GX270 gasoline engine. The fuel tank capacity is 6.5 liters, and the output power can reach 6.7 kw. The rotational speed remains at 3600 rpm. The gasoline engine starts quickly and has low noise, making it suitable for scenarios where there are certain requirements for the noise level in the working environment. 
The SVH700C is equipped with the Changchai/Changfa CF178 diesel engine. The fuel tank capacity is 2.7L, with an output power of 4.4kw and a rotational speed of 3600rpm. The diesel engine has a large torque and good endurance, which is suitable for various complex working conditions and has outstanding cost performance. 
The power system is equipped with a well-designed capacity configuration. The lubricating oil capacity is 1.1L, and the hydraulic oil tank capacity is 15L. This design can effectively reduce the frequency of mid-journey refueling and enhance the operational efficiency.

2.Drive & Control System
Drive system: It adopts a bidirectional hydraulic chain drive method, featuring high transmission efficiency and smooth power transmission. Combined with precise control design, it can achieve stepless speed adjustment ranging from 0 to 4.5 km/h, meeting the needs of different compaction progress. 
Steep slope climbing ability: Theoretical climbing capacity reaches 30%. Even in construction scenarios with slopes, it can operate stably and is suitable for complex terrain operations.
Vibration system: Excellent performance. The single-drum vibration design is combined with a 70Hz high-frequency vibration frequency, 0.6mm vibration amplitude and 30kn excitation force, which can quickly achieve ground compaction, with uniform and efficient compaction effect.
Spraying water system: The equipment is equipped with a gravity spray type watering system. The 20L large-capacity water tank can meet the long-term drum watering needs, effectively preventing the materials from adhering to the drum and improving the compaction quality.



The braking system is highly responsive, ensuring safety during the operation process.



3.Size
Weight: The operating weight is 485kg, the net weight is 441kg, the static line load is 45n/cm, and the compression strength is sufficient without causing excessive compaction of the ground.
Roller size: Width 700mm, Diameter 530mm. It has a wide compacting coverage and is suitable for precise operations in small areas.
Machine size：The overall size is optimized and reasonable.The full width is 880mm，the length when placed flat with a handrail is 2150mm， the total height when the handrail is upright is 1870mm.It can be flexibly turned and operated in narrow spaces.
Packaging size：The packaging size is 1200*920*1920mm， which is convenient for transportation and storage， and reduces transportation costs.

·  During the operation of the equipment, do not perform cleaning or maintenance work. Rotating parts may cause personal injury.
·  It is strictly prohibited to clean parts with gasoline, other fuels or flammable solvents, especially in enclosed areas; the fumes volatilized from fuels and solvents are prone to accumulation, which may cause explosions.
·  Regularly check the external buttons of the equipment to ensure their normal functions.
·  Provide professional operation and safety training to equipment operators on a regular basis.
·  Do not operate the equipment in areas with flammable substances, fuel or flammable vapors.
·  After the equipment is out of service, turn off the engine immediately, store it in a clean, dry area out of the reach of children, and ensure standardized storage.
·  Do not remove the air filter cover, paper filter element and pre-cleaner while the engine is running.
