What is a double drum road roller?
The double-steel-wheel roller has two rollers at the front and rear. Some models support synchronous vibration of the two rollers, which results in better compaction efficiency and uniformity. It is the core equipment for compacting asphalt pavement. The vibration mode is flexible and can be switched according to the types of materials such as soil, sand and gravel, and is suitable for each stage of initial compaction, re-compaction and final compaction.

What is the function of a road roller?
The core function of a road roller is to compact road-building materials such as soil, sand, gravel and asphalt mixture through its own weight or vibratory impact force. This improves the compactness, flatness and stability of the compacted materials, reduces their porosity, enhances load-bearing and anti-deformation capacity, and ensures the construction quality and service life of roads, foundations, dykes and other engineering projects.

The ST3000 series of small road rollers can be equipped with multiple well-known brand engines. Combined with a reliable drive control system and a reasonable size layout, they can meet the complex operation requirements of various scenarios. 1.Power system
The ST3000 offers three mainstream engine options, all of which are equipped with diesel inline water-cooled four-stroke engines: 
Changchai ZN390B: 3-cylinder engine, 28.5kw, 2600rpm, powerful and with economical fuel consumption;
Yamaguma 3TNV88: 3-cylinder engine, 28.1kw, high 3000rpm ensures operational efficiency;
Kubota V1505: 4-cylinder engine, 26.1kw, 3000rpm, outstanding smoothness and durability in operation. 
Two configurations are supported: a single front vibration drum and a front and rear dual vibration drums. Both are driven by hydraulic motors. The vibration frequency is stable at 65Hz, the amplitude is 0.5mm, the excitation force of the single drum is 40kn, and the excitation force of the dual drums can reach 2×40kn. The compaction density is uniform and meets the standards. 

2.Drive & Control System
The design adopts a variable plunger pump and a two-wheel drive motor in parallel for stepless speed adjustment. The walking speed can be adjusted within the range of 0 - 10 km/h, meeting the requirements of rapid transportation and precise compaction. 
The hydraulic cylinder hinged steering and swing hinged structure is adopted, which is easy to operate. The outer turning radius is only 2405mm/3760mm. It is flexible for operation in narrow and corner areas and has high maneuverability. 



Equipped with large-capacity fuel and water tanks (hydraulic oil 46L, fuel 42L, water tank 180L), it supports long-term continuous operation, reduces supply interruptions, and ensures the construction progress.



3.Size
The ST3000 road roller adopts a compact design, with an operating weight of 2585 kg and a static line load of 106/94 N/cm. It has strong compaction stability and effectively avoids deviation and shaking during operation. Its working width is 1355 mm, equipped with a 1200 mm wide and 630 mm diameter compaction drum. The single compaction coverage area is wide and the operation efficiency is high. The overall length of the equipment is between 2480/2400 mm, the height can be adapted to 1955/2630 mm, the wheel spacing is 1650 mm, and the structure is compact, facilitating transportation and operation in narrow areas. The theoretical climbing ability reaches 30%-35%, fully covering various construction scenarios.

·  During the operation of the equipment, do not perform cleaning or maintenance work. Rotating parts may cause personal injury.
·  It is strictly prohibited to clean parts with gasoline, other fuels or flammable solvents, especially in enclosed areas; the fumes volatilized from fuels and solvents are prone to accumulation, which may cause explosions.
·  Regularly check the external buttons of the equipment to ensure their normal functions.
·  Provide professional operation and safety training to equipment operators on a regular basis.
·  Do not operate the equipment in areas with flammable substances, fuel or flammable vapors.
·  After the equipment is out of service, turn off the engine immediately, store it in a clean, dry area out of the reach of children, and ensure standardized storage.
·  Do not remove the air filter cover, paper filter element and pre-cleaner while the engine is running.
·  Before hoisting, jacking up the equipment or performing maintenance work, be sure to fasten the articulated steering connection in place with a locking rod.
